Well, at least not right now. Last night we got snow dumped on us by a storm named after a pretend fish. Being originally from Minnesota and having spent the vast majority of my adulthood in Chicago, it seemed more than a little over-hyped, but then again, everything is nowadays.
But I find myself doing that same over-hyping in my own micro-universe. EVERYTHING MUST HAPPEN NOW! is the voice in my head. We live in a culture bent on immediate success and instant results, but that is almost never reality. I'm not giving myself enough time to build experience, or enjoy a few spare moments.
Mantra for the rest of the month: The sky is not falling. I have years and years ahead of me to build a career in yoga, build a family, and even do some singing. It can and will happen. Just not overnight.
